The fuel pressure
regulator...
With the less restrictive/forced intake, we
needed a cheap way to richen the fuel mixture;
increasing the fuel pressure was the answer. The
original regulator was cut open with a Dremel tool.
The small spring in the photo was purchased at Ace
for $2.07; it fits inside the original spring to
add pressure to the diaphragm. An adjusting bolt
was made to put pressure on the spring. The vacuum
fitting was JB welded to the modified cover. The
unit was then riveted together and sealed with
silicone. It works as good as any after-market
adjustable regulator, for under $3.00!
