The fuel tank...

To eliminate weight the stock fuel tank was removed and a new one was built from a 5 gallon gas can (Jerry Jug). As you can see in the photo's, the original mountings and fuel pump were used. Extensions were made to get the pump close to the bottom of the tank, they were then powdercoated to prevent rust.

The tank is mounted in a sealed compartment where the spare tire used to sit.
Yes those are the headlights in the trunk, ballast!
