1. Guidelines: Void where
prohibited. To participate, complete the Official
entry form and create/design/draw an
anti-smoking/tobacco cartoon. Cartoons can consist
of 1, 2, or 3 frames. Entrants must submit their
cartoon(s) on 8 ½" X 11" white paper and can
use colored markers, colored pencils, crayons,
paints, or other single-dimensional medium/products
(Do not apply any additional medium to the
cartoon(s) such as glitter, stickers, or tobacco
products). No computer-aided or mechanically
produced cartoons will be accepted. Any text used
in the cartoon(s) should be written in the
entrants' primary language, then (if possible)
translate to English on the bottom of the entry or
on a separate piece of paper. Enter as many
cartoons as you like, each on separate 8 ½" X
11" white paper. No e-mail entries will be
accepted.
2. Deadline for Entry:
All entries must be received by April 14, 2001 at
Drug Free! Racing, 591 Prelude Street NW, Palm Bay,
Florida 32907 USA. Group mailings will be accepted
as long as each entry form is attached to the
entrants cartoon(s). Drug Free! Racing reserves the
right to refuse any entry that requires postage due
or that does not meet with the standards of the
U.S. Post Office.
3. Eligibility: Contest
is open to all ages worldwide, except employees of
Drug Free! Racing, Andretti Thrill Park, Brevard
County SWAT, CACY, Con's Cycle Center, Sea
Doo/Bombardier Inc., and members of the immediate
families or households of each. By entering, all
entrants accept and agree to abide by and be bound
by these official rules and the judges' decision
relating to this contest. Entries must be entrant's
own original work, may not have been published
previously, submitted in other contests, or have
won previous awards.
4. Judging: Judging is
based primarily on originality, creativity, and the
ability for the cartoon to express the
anti-smoking/tobacco theme. Secondary is the
cartoon's overall technical quality based on the
entrant's age. Use of any unoriginal or licensed
characters (example: Mickey Mouse), other than
tobacco industry developed characters (example: Joe
Camel), is strictly prohibited. Preliminary judging
will take place in Melbourne, Florida USA on or
about April, 17, 2001. Ten cartoons will be
selected as finalists and then e-mailed to judges
around the world to determine the single Grand
Prize winner. The winner will be announced and the
top ten entries will be posted on The World's
Fastest Clown's web site www.worldsfastestclown.com
on May 5, 2001. A list of the judges will be posted
on this page.
5. Prize: There will be
one Grand Prize winner in this contest. He/she will
have the choice of either The World's Fastest
Clown's new Sea Doo GSX watercraft or 2,500 U.S.
Dollars ($). The contest winner will be contacted
by phone and/or by mail/e-mail; at that time, the
winner will choose his/her prize. The prize will be
awarded to the winner if he/she is 18 years old or
older, or it will be awarded in the winner's name
to the parent or legal guardian. No prize
substitutions except as provided herein. All taxes,
packing and shipping of the Sea Doo from Melbourne,
Florida USA, or money transfer fees are the sole
responsibility of the prize winner.
6. Legal stuff: By
entering, participants in this promotion agree that
the sponsors, their employees, their affiliates,
retail accounts, agencies, and fulfillment
companies shall not be held liable for injury,
loss, or damage of any kind resulting from
participation in this contest or from the
acceptance or use of the prize awarded or from any
prize-related activity. Submission of an entry
constitutes the entrant's and the entrant's
parent/legal guardian's (if applicable) consent to
irrevocably assign and transfer to the sponsors any
and all rights, title, and interest in and to the
entry including, without limitation, all
copyrights. By submitting entry, entrant's and the
entrant's parent/legal guardian's (if applicable)
consent to the use of the winner's name, likeness,
city, state/province, and country information and
to waive all moral rights and grant to sponsors and
their agents the right to modify, adapt, edit,
sell, publish and/or use the entry in any way, in
whole or in part, in any and all media and/or
commerce without limitation and without payment or
further consideration to the entrant. Entries and
other correspondence become the property of sponsor
and will not be returned.
